I Win

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

I have been playing fantasy sports for about 7 years now. I have encountered two problems while playing fantasy sports: I have way too many teams that take up too much of my time and I spend way too much time for no monetary reward. Well, the past couple of years it has been different. I have just recently finished a draft in a CBS money league. This league has 15 teams and there are 30 rounds. As you can imagine, it was slim pickens at the end of the draft. My team looks like this:

1B- Fielder, Votto, Hafner (DH)

2B- Hill

3B- Zimmerman, Feliz

SS- Jeter, Renteria, Eckstein

OF- Andruw Jones, Sizemore, Scott Hairston, Rasmus, Willingham, Wilkerson

C- Ruiz, Pudge, Ross

P- Bonderman, Gregg, Howry, Penny, James, Kennedy, Loewen, Maine, Snell, Gaudin, Turnbow, Volquez

I do not like to take relievers really early as I was left with Gregg, Turnbow, and Howry. I have noticed the positions that were really thin were outfield, third base, and shortstop. Last year my Internet stopped working and I drafted Delmon Young and AJ Burnett with my second and third round picks because they were in my queue at the time. Yeah, I didn’t do well that year. But this is a new year and I am very excited about my team. I think I have good chance to win this year; it would be a big payday.

Any thoughts about my team?
